Paper Summary
We describe a special tomography workflow that has been implemented in our Yucatan Platform depth imaging 2Dproject in the Mexican GOM (MGOM). The workflow is designed for a very rugose water bottom like the Yucatan Platform and Escarpment area with very shallow water and very low S/N seismic data quality. It yields a geologically-conformed carbonate platform velocity model as well as a3D structurally-consistent image quality. The workflow includes an initial model built in 3D, enhanced curvature-picking from a horizon-based semblance scan and a 3Dconsistent model update with tomography inversion.
