Paper Summary
We're excited to share that the marine seismic acquisition consortium in Suriname (TGS, CGG & BGP) have organized a community outreach program to support Suriname's local communities. The program involves providing electric wheelchairs and opportunities for students to study and earn certificates in environmental management and occupational health and safety.
The consortium purchased electric wheelchairs that will be delivered to the Wi Oso Foundation in Paramaribo, Suriname, in September 2022. The foundation offers young disabled individuals with custom housing, employment training, rehabilitation and more.
The consortium also organized a training and competence initiative that will provide local students with an opportunity to earn occupational health and safety, and environmental management certificates (NEBOSH and IEMA).
TGS is proud to support the consortium and Suriname's local communities with this outreach program.
