Over the last 30 years, the vast “petroliferous” margins of Brazil have consistently provided some of the largest discoveries in the world. High-quality seismic data serves as a critical tool for exploration and production companies, enabling them to unlock and develop the premier resources of the pre-salt play in the Santos and Campos Basins. 

The National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) has recently approved the inclusion of seven additional pre-salt blocks—Cerussita, Aragonita, Rodocrosita, Malaquita, Opala, Quartzo, and Calcedônia—in the Brazilian National Petroleum Agency's (ANP) Permanent Offer Program. Located within the pre-salt polygon of the Santos Basin, these highly prospective blocks contain both pre- and post-salt targets. They are scheduled for auction under the Production Sharing Regime (OPP) in June 2025. Additionally, the ANP has announced a bid round offering 14 blocks across the Campos and Santos basins under the same Production Sharing Regime. These include the Citrino, Itaimbezinho, Jaspe, Larimar, Onix, and Turmalina areas in Campos, as well as the Agata, Amazonita, Ametista, Esmeralda, Jade, Mogno, Safira Leste and Safira Oeste areas in Santos.
